Review of The Rock

I spent many an evening with my old housemates down the Rock pub during 1996 - 1999. It's a great pub. Nice and spacious, the sort of place you can meet up with a big group of friends and take over a couple of tables.
On occasion I also ate there. The food was mediocre, just microwave stuff, but it was very cheap. I seem to remember you could have a meal and a pint for under £5.
They also used to have bands at weekends, but unlike many places didn't charge on the door.
I'm not going to comment on the quality of beer. I am a lager drinker, and proud to say that quantity is more important to me than quality.
I definitely recommend this pub.
