Review of The Clarendon Arms
by neil - Thursday 15th 2003f May 2003
The best boozer I know, in Cambridge or anywhere else. The beers (Cask Marque) and lagers are always good, there is plenty of choice of wines and spirits with an excellent range of spirits, and the food is always excellent and very good value - large portions, varied menus, daily specials (half price on Wednesdays, Thai on Mondays, roast lunches and Steak Night on Sundays), and genuine home cooking. The landlord and all the bar and kitchen staff are very welcoming and friendly, and there is a very friendly group of welcoming locals and regulars. There is a weekly quiz (Thursdays) and regular crib. There is even a beer garden, and bed and breakfast.
